About Johnny

I am a 29-year-old husband and father doing everything I can to make some major healthy changes in my life right now. I have a goal to LOSE 120 POUNDS BY JANUARY 1, 2011. This blog is one of many elements I’m using to reach that goal and many others I plan on setting in the interim.

On the more personal side, I love Classic Rock, Mediterranean food, amateur photography, movies, reading, and of course spending time with my family and friends. I have degrees in journalism and management and I am working full-time on a Ph.D. and trying my best to find my creative outlets while exploring a sometimes boring academic area (that I still love, nevertheless).

Exercise and activity-wise, I like walking/jogging running, riding my stationary bike, hiking and playing basketball with friends. I hope to expand this list vastly.

    My wife and I are new to the running world and just stumbled across your blog. My wife, kids, & her friend just began the C25K program and although she is already suffering through some knee pain she is still determined. We are impressed with your conviction and believe that you will do well with your goals. (You’ll probably need that Ph.D. to finance your new wardrobe.) We wish you the best of luck & plan to follow your blog.

    By the way…..you are wise to embark on this new endeavor now. You will need the extra energy & health to keep up with the new little guy or gal to be. Immensely rewarding and the greatest blessing you could ever receive.

    Congratulations on your lifestyle change! Losing weight is difficult – for some it’s super easy. I’m in the same boat. I lost 100lbs and am trying for another 100lbs but it’s been difficult.

    Provided I stick to regular exercise, I do well – but work keeps me very busy and as I sit all day… well, you know the rest.
